Architecture in four layers

Across all service lines, the architecture has four replaceable layers. The design goal is to keep each one replaceable.

  1. Experience — where people meet the system: website chat, team copilot, phone, private portal, inbox, background workflow
  2. Orchestration — how work moves: agents, tools, rules, memory, hand-offs, budgets, human approval
  3. Intelligence — what thinks: commercial or open models chosen for quality, language, speed, cost, control
  4. Infrastructure — where it runs: managed cloud, private cloud, or self-hosted

Operating model

Three delivery models are common: self-serve digital purchase (immediate, no contract), consultation (a working session to scope a real need), and managed engagement (a sustained operational relationship under an SLA). The same platform supports all three.

Under a managed engagement, work is delivered across five stages: Discover, Design, Prototype, Integrate, Improve. The stage names are descriptive, not commitments — the work is real, the cadence is whatever the situation actually requires.

How to evaluate a provider

Use this checklist before you sign anything. A good provider will answer each item with documentation, not reassurance.

  1. Standards. Are the protocols and specifications named in writing? Can you verify each one against its public specification?
  2. Pricing. Is the price published openly, or does it require a contact form? Are the components billed separately, the way professional services actually cost?
  3. Architecture. Can you see the architecture? Can you inspect the deployment? If the provider disappears, can you continue?
  4. Data. Where is the data? Who are the sub-processors? What is the lawful basis for any third-country transfer?
  5. Liability. What professional indemnity is in place? What does it cover, and what does it exclude?
  6. Exit. Is the export of your data and configuration supported? Is the answer written down?
